I am slowly making story book characters for Alia.. I figure if I make Red Riding Hood I won't need to make another wolf, I'm sure it was probably the same wolf that terrorised the three little pigs and miss red 😁

They are lovely Sarah.

Over here we have storysacks which have characters or items to use when telling the story.

Do you have them or us this just your own idea

Thank you for your nice comments everyone 😃

I've not heard of story sacks Denise, I have sometimes seen characters from children's stories that are popular at the moment in the book store. Like there is almost always the characters from Winnie the Pooh. I'll have to ask my daughter if she has seen them.

I got the idea because when I told Alia the story of Little Red Riding Hood she got scared of going in my bedroom because she thought the wolf was in 'grandma's bed' and that fear seemed to get bigger and she was making the wolf out to be some terrible monster. I thought if I could crochet a wolf toy that didn't look too scary and teach her the 3 little pigs story where the pigs get their own back on the wolf when he climbs down the chimney that it might alleviate some of that fear. It does seem to have worked she sees him more as a 'silly wolf' now rather than scary. And she does like to use them to act out the story so I think I will make more characters.

Funny how their wee minds work! That is an excellent idea and so good for their language and emotional development.
And a lot of work for you!
They look fantastic - super!
