That looks lovely Lisa, very cosy looking, I love the colour you've chosen. Pity it's knitted and I can't knit 😢 I wonder if there is a crochet version out there. I'm glad that you can get patterns for those now. When Alia was born my daughter and I worked out a pattern for making a blanket, The one we made was a fabric one that we sewed, we had seen a picture of one someone else had made and basically based our pattern on that with a few additions. It fit underneath her, had a little hood and then had three shaped pieces that came across her and swaddled her, we also made a little cover that fit over the car seat, for when she was sleeping. I added a waterproof layer between the fabric in case it rained and put in vents and a little 'viewing flap. I so wish I had made it into a proper pattern and saved it I'm sure if there are anymore babies in the family I won't remember how to make them.

But maybe I have photos of it and could work it out again. I should look because I don't see them in the stores and since you can't put a baby in a car seat with their coat on I remember it being so very useful.
