Learn how to do a Tunisian crochet by following this tutorial.


What you'll need

  

Steps

Step 1

You will need an extended crochet hook, or little squares Tunisian crochet can be done on an ordinary 4mm crochet hook wool of your choice.


Step 2 and 3

Chain 21 row 1 . In the second chain from the hook, yarn over and pull through loop leaving loop on the hook repeat through every chain to the end leaving each loop on the hook. (21) loops.


Step 4

Your work should look like this.


Step 5

With work still facing you, work backwards by putting yarn over hook and pull through the first loop, then yarn over hook pull through 2 loops, yarn over hook and pull through the next 2 loops, repeat to the end where you will have one stitch left.


Step 6

Your work should look like this. Notice the bars on the front , these you will be using on the next row.


Step 7

Put hook through the second bar that I am pointing at, yarn over and pull through loop leaving loop on hook , repeat in every bar along the row.


Step 8

Showing hook through bar and the loop pulled through and left on the hook.


Step 9

Showing the very last bar of the row yarn over pull through loop. Don't forget this very last bar.


Step 10

Your work should look like this, count the stitches, make sure you have the same amount of stitches that you started with.


Step 11

Repeat instructions from photo 5. Working backwards and starting with the first loop only then it is every 2 loops afterwards.


Step 12

Your work should look like this at the front.


Step 13

Your work should look like this at the back.


Please note your work should always face you. There is no turning of work, You work forwards on the first row and backwards on the second row.
