Had a bad night..think I may have drunk a little too much yesterday so self inflicted no sympathy required. .. hence now typing at 5.30'ish

We had a great party..15 here for lunch was easy to do..a couple of roast joints..aunt bessie prepared the pototoes and onion rings...other bits like sweetcon..gravy..stuffing..apple sauce.we had hot meat sandwiches and I just put out a big basket of bread rolls and everybody made their own..it went down really well ...desserts were my baking which although a bit odd looking was really nice.. i can recommend it as bulk catering and guests all said how nice it was even the ones who normally dont comment... children were funny as i set food out on breakfast bar..in order..plates you came to first.then bread..meat etc but they decided they wanted to eat sat there so all had to be moved around which caused chaos. .people had bread couldn't find plates..however children both ate so well.. they were really good all day and were able to play out.. they took home some of daddies and aunties old toys we'd pulled out of the loft..anyone rememeber the view master. .red and you put in cardboard discs with pictures on and saw a 3d image. . Sophia loved that..Harry took a toy phone.33 years old and still plays a tune...I got my phone. .he said as he was going home. The guests all helped washing up and daughter put everything away.

KnF your pictures are good.. hubby paints he uses photo's he's taken and copies those as he says he needs something to work from..they usually turn out well..only downside is we have stacks of canvases in various places..we tend to swap the ones on the walls every so often..we could do with one storage area..I'm thinking of clearing out the old airing cupboard as no longer a tank in there. .just need to find new home for the towels etc..at the moment we have tins of paint in but once house finished they can go in garage.

Well I have rambled a bit.. can't remember what everyone wrote..liz enjoy your brothers visit. .and who was going to see ladyboys ..hope it was good..we were once at an event at the civic hall and a few of the cast put in a short apperance..they were on at the theatre down the road..I didn't know what to think at first but they were really good..must take them hours to get ready ..although we had a short introduction done by themanager who said they all had it off to a fine art and didn't take them very long..he didn't say how long very long was.

Hubby just brought me a cuppa.

Have a good day..feet up here I think.

11 o'clock, very interesting first post Eliza. Glad you had a good time.

I have just been getting myself ready for my hospital appointment this afternoon , it will be soon one over and one to go on Saturday. That's how I look at it.. then it's back to thinking about crafting.

We have sunshine. And a real autumn morning with a bit of a chill.

I'll be back later on this evening to read what you all have been doing. Linda x

Back from hospital appointment two polyps taken out, the rest I will have to have surgery in six to eight weeks. One down one to go colonoscopy on Saturday. Feeling fine now to do more of my animal blanket.

CN did you take both needles with you today?😊 It was a lovely autumn day today but gets dark very quickly now. Enjoy your evening. Linda x

Went out for a light lunch with 'Adopted daughter' I had a mushroom and cheese omelete with some salad and a handfull of chips.

I have some leftover homemade spicey red lentil and carrot soup for my dinner so I'm about to make some wholemeal toast to go with it.

I've done some knitting of the cable jumper/dress and working on some Christmas crochet decorations experiments.

I really need to get out and go for my walk but I can hardly keep my eyes open so maybe a work will wake me up and I can come home to that soup.

Eliza cooking in batches is great I do it often as it means I only have to re heat or eat cold items on days when I've no time to spend making something. Thankfully I have a good freezer but wish I had 2 like I used to many years ago as that way I coud keep one just for all the produce I get from the garden.

I have extra large pans, dishes, trays ect so can make large amounts and then divide up into portions to freeze for another day.
