Here is a slipper I crocheted in crocodile stitch, the soles are from a company called jo’s Toes they sell soles with little holes in to attach any tops of slippers you are making.

They are great Linda...

Before you do the second slipper, if you copy the holes onto a piece of card you can use that to put holes onto the bottom of a cheap pair of flip flops and then you will be able to make slippers from flip flop soles 😃

Good idea Sarah, jo’s Toes is an on line website Lindsey, so they probably send to Australia the web sight has some great ideas too. They are made of
Thick woollen felt but not like the felt you use for craft work it’s like walking on cushion in, as you use two soles in one slipper the second sole covers up the stitching that is used on the first sole.

Thank you every one for your comments a good idea for a Christmas present. Linda x

My mom bought some here in the US when she was visiting one year, she just got them from the local craft store so you could try looking locally before you order online and pay shipping costs Lindsey. I don't remember what my mom's were like, I honestly didn't take any notice because I couldn't crochet at the time but they might have been a bit different but generally the same idea.

Kent Is a no no for looking round the craft shops we have very few and miles between craft shops in Kent. . Kent is a rubbish place to live if you are a crafter. So that is why I buy my crafts on line and used to get stuff from America and shipped here before shipping went up and the dollar against the pound was good.

Thanks serendipity, the colours are from a ball of paintbox yarns chunky pots, the chunky pot colours is called fairytales sold by love crochet on line they are the only ones who sell this yarn. Linda x
