Thanks for the tutorial Denise, it looked so easy I think I might have a go. I was thinking of having a little Christmas tree in the room that Alia usually plays and thought with fabric baubles she could touch them without fear of injury, might have to use glue instead of pins though. Incidentally what are sequin pins, are they just the usual silver pins like you get when you buy a mans folded shirt?

Thank you for the tutorial Denise, I'd love to have a go! I'm not sure how you divide the bauble into the sections though - how do you make them even?

Thank you Denise for the great tutorial I may be having a go at them myself as I need some polystyrene balls for another project.

Thanks ladies.

Sara sequin pins are very small tiny pins 16 MM long

Carolyn most polystyrene balls have a diameter line and small circles on top and bottom. Put point of compass in centre of circle on top and open until you reach diameter. Once you have this measurement put point on diameter and draw a line right round. Next put point where this line and diameter cross and draw another circle.
Your ball is now divided into 4. Next bit I did by eye. Mark on diameter half way between the lines then draw in lines dividing ball into 8.

If no diameter line then it's trial and error. Put point of compass in centre top and make a mark where you think half way is. Next put point in centre of bottom circle and make a mark. Once it's in the same place you have your diameter.

Put point if compass in centre of top circle and draw a line round. Then follow above instructions.

Hope you can follow this if not I can do another tutorial

tryng to put my first attempt on bauble to show you, but my new computer is driving me mad.....I have the photo on computer, but it is not talking to the internet...back must come my grand daughter to get it right....then I can show you....all that came up on here was a red square....not the bauble...so it will have to wait......never mind. oh, may not have to wait, have an idea..........

Suddenly realized I have the old warhorse computer still, so will attempt to put my first Christmas bauble on this one.....so here we go.....
Success.....do you recognize the fabrics Liz......I didn't measure the fabrics as should so next one should be better....the pearl strings were from the left overs a friend had after making her daughters wedding veil some years ago...oh...these will be great to make.......you have started something now with the introduction of these....I know at least 2 people who will be making them.
