A nice start into crocheting, how about a small amigurumi figure next, they are pretty easy usually only use single crochet

Well done....I love the purple one.....to think I have almost completed a poncho using very basic stitches and will show it on here when finally completed...over 100 small squares of treble and then just edged with treble and fringes put on when joined together.....however I have made some very complicated crochet in past and have been able to crochet generally since I was 5 years, but you can make some lovely pieces with basic stitches in crochet. Wonder what you would do with these....... they are part of my poncho...now all stitched together, but need pressing and just the neck edge to complete....all treble, So very basic......

Here is my poncho......completed. I started by wanting something to use all my odd little balls of wool...so "Mission accomplished" and those of you who crochet will see how basic the stitch is...very easy to learn Louise . Reckon you could learn from U tube as my left handed grand daughter learned that way, as I found it difficult to teach her (me being right handed)........However....done and dusted now. Fingers getting painful in my old age so shall now go on to smaller projects...Probably my peg dolls......and so we all keep busy......... Mary
