Hello all
I thought I'd come in and say hello as it's been a while. I wasn't sure whether to come on and I was certain I'd be welcomed back but I thought I would. I just read through the posts for a bit and saw the news about Mary, oh I am so sad she was a lovely lady. I was so touched when one day I hadn't been on here for a while and she PM'd me to see if I was ok..that was so nice. She also sent me a beautiful card and some die cuts out of the kindness of her heart, I sent her one too and I still have the card here pegged on my corkboard. I really enjoyed her poems and her constant creativity with all the things she was doing. I too will light a candle later and send her a kiss up to heaven. Maybe she is with my mum and they are crafting.
I'm busy crocheting another blanket for Zoe, this time it will have teddy bear granny squares and plain ones. I've just taken a photo of her all snuggled under the first blanket i made her, that warms my heart.
I hope everyone is well you all seem to be, take care and hugs
Lindsey x

Did you get the plants sorted Denise , I wish we could get sun so I could get into the garden , we have rain again it's just becoming so depressing. Laundry hung indoors again .

My friend arrives at lunch time, so we will pick her up from the bus station

Tracey that was a nice thought lighting a candle for mary,

The DPN that is being mentioned is that double pointed knitting needles as in the 4sets I used to use to knit socks and gloves ?Maybe something new please enlighten me lol

Someone sends me dry weather and sunshine please x

Hello everyone. Not a happy Goose. Someone had the cheek to hack my Facebook account and posted a scam post about bitcoins 😡. Luckily a few friends messaged me to let me know. All sorted now hopefully.

Yesterday I managed to get lots of plants as most of them were in reduced section. Sophie picked some lovely deep purple trailing petunias and some lilac with deep purple markings to go together. I got some dianthus, begonias and busy lizzies.

Susie sorry to hear your sad news but good on the mentor front

Liz it’s grey clouds and a bit dull with the sun peeping out occasionally. No rain due until tomorrow tea time. I’ll send you some to get rid of that nasty rain.

I’ve tried DPN’s in the past and found them a bit fiddly to start but after that not too bad. Each needle was a different colour which helped.

Coming up to lunch time so better pop the kettle on and prepare some salad.

Hope you all have a good day

Take care

Bad news on your face book account Denise , what a terrible carry on. Your flowers all sound nice though .

Lisa I pity you being up since early hours , hope hubby gets over his stress levels , my son in law is doing up grades for council houses at the minute so I understand what your going on about , every second house is private and causes problems ,

Will my Sun arrive in the near future Denise it's so dark today and I have my friend here on holiday 🤣.

We had lunch out today so just a sandwich for tea I think , getting my hair cut tomorrow morning then of to take in the shops and have coffee out

Looking for a new bed as hubby fell through the slats on ours the other morning . It was quite funny he landed down on the floor his legs stuck in the air lol, I could renew the slats but need a new head board too so will give it some thought , the present headboard is faux leather and has started to crack at hubby s side 😏.

Anyway ladies I am away to make our snack and hope everyone is well

Evening 😊

Good to see you back Lyndsey. I was away for a good while and missed everyone but it was lovely to come back to crafty friends,

Hubby is still shook up about losing his brother, I think it also brings it home how fragile your own life can be when you lose a sibling.
Still waiting to do my training at work for the mentoring. I’m starting to feel frustrated they’re not setting aside time for me. No crafting done as I’ve been too busy cooking when home and sorting the girls out in the evenings.

I used to like making hats with circular needles then swapping to DPNs to finish off the crown.

Have a good night everyone x

Morning 😊

Lisa keep on practicing with the DPNs it’s definitely worth it! Well done Dolly 😊
Liz has hubby recovered from breaking the bed yet? 😳
Denise how awful you were hacked, glad it’s sorted. Plenty of rainy weather for your new plants!

Long weekend for me as I’ve booked Monday off work to take Ellie for her X-rays to check on how the titanium rods are bedding in to her spine etc. My youngest son is also off work so said he’d drive us there.

I’ve started doing my mentoring training at home as I realised I could access it remotely. It was going to be weeks before they could pencil in some time for me to do it at work so I thought as this is something I really want to do to benefit my growth as well as potential mentees I’d put my own time into it. From what I’ve done so far I think it’s going to help me with the girls too!

Right I’m going to have a mooch, take care ladies x

Hello everyone, What weather we are having down here in the south strong winds sunshine and rain, everything in the garden is holding up, my sister who is a few doors away has had her laburham tree blown down . But half of the roots are still in the ground so when it stops blowing they can prop it up and hope it grows away again.

I am crocheting and nearly finished a shrug for my sister, And crocheting another scarfe for my customer. I made a Delia Smith bread pudding yesterday and it’s nearly gone so moorish, I used muscatel de Valencia to steep the mixed fruit in , I have some damson gin I made last year might steep the fruit for a cake in that today. Last piece of news my daughter in law is thinking about joining the forum to day I hope she does. Better get on and prepare dinner. Linda x

Oh poor tree Linda! Hope your daughter in law joins😊 as usual your cooking sounds lovely. Alex and I made some cookies from a Mary Berry recipe this morning but added cocoa power and they’re lovely.

Rain is torrential here too, haven’t ventured out yet...

Take care x
