Hello everyone, I'm back, at least for now. Thanks for the messages and emails, I am so sorry to have worried people.

My brother in law has bladder cancer and since he lives alone, he needed people to help him after his operation and then after his chemo sessions. When we heard he needed help it seemed to make the most sense for Tom and I to go up there since Tom can work from home and travel back for meetings when he has to and he was able to ferry Alia back and forth so she stayed up there with me some weeks when other arrangements at home couldn't be made. I didn't realise when we rushed up there that I would not be able to contact anyone, my phone company wasn't supported in that State so my cell phone didn't work. He lives in a beautiful big house but unfortunately it's out in the middle of nowhere. Normally he says he has internet but the connection goes quite often, while i was there it never worked once, I called to get it fixed and was told they would get to us at some point and call when they had a more specific time. Well apparently in all that time they never got to us. But it's surprising how quickly you adapt to no internet.

I got back on Tuesday morning, i tried to post here but it seems like the site was down. Since then it's been a busy week, 3rd was Alia's birthday, 4th of July is a big holiday here and today it's Tom's birthday. Also my daughter is due to give birth on the 17th so really could be anytime now.

I've been trying to catch up on all the news. So sorry to hear about Mary's death, she will be sadly missed, but i think we all knew her time was limited and it did worry me that she was in pain. Does anyone know how Maurice is coping?

Did your daughter have the baby yet Lisa? I know she is due before my daughter.

I hope everyone else is well, how is your de-cluttering going Liz? Linda thank you for the magazine, i do have your gourd one that I will post early next week for you, I do apologise for the delay.

Have a great evening x

Got back home yesterday at lunch Tim. Now jade is much better, and inspired to do Monday on her own till four o’clock, she has a mother and baby club to go to then a look forward to matt arriving home by five. Sorry to hear Ruth and Brianna are going through it lis but when you breast feed no one can take that job and help out. I am sure she will progress to better times .

I made a cottage pie from saturdays silver side slow cooker meal and all the left overs this morning. The cherries are to be picked today how they have changed in a week.

Good to read you are back sarah my best wishes for your brother in laws recovery they can do wonders these days. These are the times when you need families close by.

Nadia starts her new programme on the 15th trailers are looking good. Nigella at my table is a book I just ordered, And next week I start knitting a topsy turvy doll, I made this same doll back in 2015, and my friend up the road saw the pattern in the people’s friend magazine.

So I got inspired again. Linda x

Cherries look lovely Linda you have such good fruit and vegetables.
I remember your last topsy turvey make , enjoy the knitting.

Tracey I did do my cooking for freezer yesterday and we had spaghetti Bolognese for tea . Tomorrow I will make lasagne with some herbs added to a portion of the spaghetti Bolognese. Chilli is frozen too. Think I will make macaroni cheese for tonight. I have a notion for that

Sun shinning with me today and a lovely 14 degrees, towels on the line and dark laundry back in . I have a big black bag ready for charity as I have gone through my coats , jackets and winter clothes . Yippee back to decluttering . Tomorrow I have Visitors coming up from Glasgow so I won't be able to do any then .
Waiting on electrician coming to fit my new wall lights this afternoon, unfortunately I have bought the wrong bulbs for them , will need to purchase more later in the week .

No craft work to report I am ashamed to say but I have sent for some embroidery patterns which should be here tomorrow.

Sarah are you crafting just now ?

Good morning everyone. I came home Saturday after two weeks in Norfolk, The garden here is in the month of July and is at its peak. Harvesting most things at the end of July. I am getting back in to the routine of housework washing and cooking, after that it’s wimbledon and knitting again which I am enjoying.

Cloudy here but nice and cool , So will get on with the day, and post my knitting topsy turvy doll when it’s finished won’t be long as this doll is very quick. I’ll be back later see how every one is doing and posting. Linda x

Morning 😊

Sorry I’ve not been on for a while, I’ve had lots of early starts and been shattered once home from work. Hope everyone is ok?

I’ve got an interview for a job in a different department today at work so I’m nervous about that. Loads of others will have gone for it too. Tomorrow I’m off to hospital with Alex for her to eat cake under controlled conditions to gauge her reaction to eating egg. Middle of August hubby has his operation so I’ve got a week off then. A holiday would be nice, but alas, no...

Will try to pop on later!

Take care my crafty friends xx
