Glad hubbyvis getting his painfull carpal tunnel done. At least he is on the waiting list. We have the main teaching hospital at ashford then the Kent and Canterbury which has taken over orthopaedics, and the little cottage hospital at folkestone for x rays minor injuries and blood taking which is very handy. ONLY A 20 minute journey. I know you have the 50 mile trip and I sympathise with you liz,

We went to the local garden centre this morning and they had a Christmas sale, really enjoyed it I could only walk for a little while and knee started to hurt but I managed to get some seed packets of bush cherry tomatoes and some sweet long pointed peppers they are one of the sweetest peppers you can grow. Couldn’t even stop for a cuppa . So came home and John made one I had ovaltine I have gone off of tea.

We will sow these in February and grow on in the poly tunnel. The bell peppers are not so sweet.
Well better start thinking about dinner , I still have a turkey crown to roast but will do that at the week end. I will make a cake today coconut and lemon. Linda x

Hi Linda and anyone who follows , it’s nice you got out to garden centre , I almost visited mine today , I use their supplied wheelchair when I visit , however today decided to go to Asda instead to see their sale items, got a couple of sweaters .

I am onto the sleeves with Brianna s cardigan but feeling some shoulder pain I don’t want my neck to start up again , however I want it completed so will see how my shoulder feels this evening .

It’s nice to hear your thinking of planting seeds again Linda it makes spring imaginable on these cold days .

I am away to watch father brown and have a cuppa , I tape it each day , nice old fashioned mystery

Have a nice weekend and I hope some more members come on to chat . Dog booked for shampoo and trim tomorrow afternoon , hope it doesn’t get any colder poor dog 😲

Hi ladies I popped on here saw how quiet it was and almost didn’t post 😏. Then I thought if everyone has that attitude we will lose this forum , it’s needing new life how can we liven it up . .? An old body like me isn’t the answer but I would truly miss all my crafty friends so let’s keep the inspiration flowing .

Your new macrame cord is my fav colour Lisa and I am looking forward to seeing your finished items .

It’s a very dark day here and the dog groomer has cancelled as she has hurt her back, I think I will get some more knitting done and maybe watch a film
What plans do you have ? I visited my eldest daughter earlier and now now I am sat with a cuppa although like you Linda I am fed up drinking tea and have been taking hot ribena lately .

My thoughts entirely, I so look forward to talking to you both, the last three die hard. So much of my inspiration I get from here and your ideas. These dark winter evenings are sometimes depressing. Any way I today I took hold of my self and said come on linda get on with it and do something. So I got and tidied my book case and got some inspiration from some patterns. And did some crochet which is on the knitting and crochet thread. Linda x

Hi

Happy New Year to everyone. I have been pretty quiet on here as December is such a busy time for me as I work full-time, have two children and look after my mum who lives with us. Now Christmas is over and before the garden springs into action I now have a bit of “me-time”. I bought an off-cut of a piece of “fancy fur” material which was in a remnant bin in the sales and have turned it into a throw which I’m pretty pleased with. I shall just drape it over a chair for now. I have put some pictures on the sewing discussion thread. The weather today is lovely and mild and we are hoping to go for a walk later. I am also very much in a “de-cluttering” mood and have been going through our linen cupboard today and sorting out everything into bed sets and then putting each set into a bag that you then suck the air out of so that it becomes more space saving. What was previously a cupboard crammed full of stuff now is only using a fraction of the space. Kind regards Sally-Ann x

Lovely to see you on here Sally-Ann, I will have to find my box of un finished crochet as I have nearly finished my crochet Mandela square, I don’t like repeating squares so will team it with some other crochet that is half done and make a blanket. We have sunshine today so spring is nearly here. After making mince and dumplings for dinner I did enough for today and one for the freezer, so can sit down and crochet some more while watching the masters snooker. Have a lovely walk Sally Ann, and every one a productive afternoon. Linda x
