I am very proud of my John he has looked after the garden and here is his hard work our own little Hampton court flower show, from honey suckle to roses, to Acer and lacecap hydrangea, to vegtable garden and tomatoes, to polytunnel and orchard. Kentish cobnut tree and crab apples so much to look at and enjoy and harvest.

.

The poinsettias in the poly tunnel is still blooming since a week before Christmas. X

Wow Linda......what a lot of work, but lovely...so many aspects...I love gardens......my lace cap hydrangeas I see are now almost in sort of half bloom and my attempts at changing from pink to blue appears to have worked to a degree....some pale lavendar showing through....the cuttings I took and put in a pot with eracaceous soil still yet to show themselves, but flowers are coming......the one large beefsteak tomato plant is growing well...will soon have to inch out the growing tip.....

We have the men checking the fire alarms at the moment.....had to laugh.....my mobile I put to a whistle and one of these men is whistling away, so not sure whether my phone or him.

Beautiful garden Linda, you must be really proud of John, and how lovely to be able to sit outside. I bet your grandson will love playing outside with a blanket on the grass when he visits. It's so calming to sit outside with pretty flowers and greenery around.

I like your Acer, it is very similar to my Japanese Maple I think my leaves are a little more lacey. I will take a picture of it later and post it. I have mine in a pot, I grew it from a small scruffy plant that was being sold cheap at the nursery.

Thanks Sarah , my Acer was also from the closing down sale of a garden centre, it was £15. But I got it for. £5. Acer palmatum Shaina, It stays red for most of the year then it goes dark red in the Autumn. Linda x
