I used a very fine yarn to crochet this throw. Each panel was one cake of yarn in a superfine cotton blend and then for the border and the tassels I used a small ball of black. Because of the fineness of the yarn and the lacy pattern, a little went a long way.

That is amazing sarah and looks a complicated crochet stitch. I could never handle such a big project with fine wool. How long did that take you.? X

Thanks for the lovely comments, at first I found the pattern complicated but after a while I got into it and didn't have to refer to the pattern much. Doing just a little each evening it took me about a month to complete, It didn't really get boring because the four panels are like four long scarves, which broke it down somewhat and I was really interested in the subtle way the colours change so I was watching for that all the time. If I made another one, which I probably won't, I think I would try to work on the one with the squares on, alongside the other three because although the squares were easy I did keep getting frustrated when trying to crochet the last round into the rest of that panel as I went.
The overall size is about 5'3'' by 3'10" Denise but I haven't blocked it so I think if I did it would probably be 5.5' by 4'
