As past of my De- cluttering I repurposed freebie toy kits which had been accumulating.
Some DK (sports weight) and some 4 ply (not sports weight.)
Into - you've guessed it - ta - DAH! -Granny squares.
LARGE ones.

Also used up some odds and ends, some with chenille.
I shall either make them inot cushions covers, or
surround them with black and sew them together to make a BIG throw.

I have kept the patterns in case I do get into the notion to knit them later.

They look like a good size for a small child to carry around with them when they get attached to a blanket. Alia had a blanket she took everywhere and it was a nightmare because it was always trailing on the floor and getting dirty but she hated us washing it. Eventually I managed to find the exact same blanket and I bought two, one my daughter switches out for her first one so one to wash and one to use, I think she still likes that at night, but the other one I cut into four squares and hemmed around them. She was delighted with these mini blankets that she could carry much easier and they didn't trail on the floor.

Great work.

I did this in the past. Knew I wouldn’t be knitting the toys so made squares towards a garden blanket
