Morning all, Lisa I hope the cherry tomatoes are doing better, My cherry tomatoes are in the poly tunnel, we don’t grow tomatoes out side, I think they may have wilted because of the strong hot sun. Now we have an easterly wind they are better with a bit of shelter in doors, until sometime In June . I am up and down with mood swings but manage to talk myself out of depression when another day dawns.. yesterday morning I turned my conservatory furniture around while John was shaving and out of the way he hates change but I hoovered and tidied and it looks bigger in there . So soon he will accept it and be used to it that way. It makes me feel good if I can change furniture around. Well John made breakfast for me today and I have had my walk around the garden so I had better think about preparing dinner and then see what else I shall do today. What have yo7 decided todo today. Linda x

Hello everyone
hope you are all doing well, are things lifting a bit more in the U.K now with restrictions? A lot of ours have been lifted but still things like restaurants/cafes etc are 10 people only and social distancing applies everywhere. We went to our nearest biggest town today and it was quiet and the shops were quiet too with a lot of shops still closed and some closed down all together. We've only got one case in our area now and it's contained so it feels better going out but to be quite honest it was good to get in and get home, I don't really enjoy shopping like I used to, I really enjoy things more like being at home or going out for drives or walks on the beach with Greg and Zoe and of course my crafting. 20 years ago you couldn't have kept me away from the shops but now I prefer other things.
I'm working on a Rudolph Christmas pot holder (crocheted), yes I"m early but I just felt like it so why not, I hate last minute Christmas rush. I'd love to crochet a couple of market bags too like those old school string bags people used to use at the shops, I saw a man the other day with one it reminded me of my late gran and my mum.
Wather is gorgeous here from May to Dec we have days around 23-27 and nights that are around 13-15 or so, so it's lovely.
Linda i hope you feel better with your ups and downs, it's not surprising at the moment I think a lot of people are going through that. We are growing tomaotoes at the mometn they have gone mad, as well as our citrus trees and the other day we harvested our coffee fruit. So yesterday we spent a number of hours shelling them to reveal the coffee bean, now they are drying out before Greg roasts them for me, it's so satisfying and lovely.
Hello Liz, Tracey, Lisa and everyone.
Hope you all have a fabulous day xx

Hello ladies , nice to hear from you Lyndsey

Linda you are the same as me because moving furniture around is second nature to me , it gets a good clean and a fresh look , very satisfying. Jim hates change , can’t understand why I do it 😉. I would like to see the rest of your aquarium makes , is that project complete Linda ? I keep my mood up with setting myself a task to complete each day , so I plan at night my extra task for the next day .

Lyndsey sounds like your in festive mood , I too like to be organised . However not planned that far ahead this year due to coronavirus, small restrictions been lifted in Scotland from this weekend , eg garden centres to open , and outdoor non contact sports activity eg. Golf / tennis . Meeting of friends and family in private garden if 2 meters apart and don’t share crockery etc.

Tracey it’s Friday tomorrow and you must be looking forward to it with nice weather as a bonus . Enjoy your weekend

Lisa have you made your bird feeder yet ? I am looking forward to seeing it .i hope your tomatoes are ok

Well I have a request ladies I need ideas on how To and what medium to use to cover my fire Place opening , I Will put a pic of my fireplace on other crafts, Please put thinking caps on all ideas welcome , I suggested polystyrene then paint it but would it look like a headstone because of the shape🤣
I want it to stop draughts and still be pleasing / decorative . Hubby said a sheet of hardboard , so helpful ideas really needed

Some easing of lockdown , I will now be able to sit in the garden and and chat to my sister after such a long time. Another nice day John is busy planting some Salix flamingo standard trees, and I have sent for some bare rooted strawberry plants and a strawberry planting sack. It will be kept in the fruit cage which will keep the birds off . I didn’t put the topsy turvy doll back in the WIP box I got the urge to make her a hat and will do her two arms after dinner. My trouble is I like some one to do the project for not having any young girl grand children I get fed up with a project very quickly.
I have subscribed to the grow your own magazine, and the first copy came yesterday. There are lots of packets of seeds sent with it so there are more things to grow and eat this summer. John has bought some out door paint to give my cabin a a protective coat of paint before the winter. Well I better see to dinner a made some barbecue chicken it’s cooking in the oven. Linda x

Afternoon Everyone.
Everyone sounds really busy. Have done my usual Friday housework, washing etc. Am not going out today. Don’t really feel comfortable going out unnecessarily. Will go for a walk later tonight when it’s cooler and not generally anyone around. 😀 Sounds like all of your gardens are blooming and lovely.
Take care all. x

Have had a hot day and spent 3 hours in the garden with Ruth , Wully and the children, we had a barbecue each bringing their own food / drink and cutlery , It was lovely we stayed well apart and threw the filled rolls to each person not in our household.

We are having a family bingo night tonight through computer so I will go and get I pad charged up ,
