Lovely bell!

What clear instructions, Linda.
What a lot of work!
maybe it should go in Tutorials??

I remember doilies used to be stiffened with milk to make bowls in olden days.
Maybe PVA would smell better in the long term?

It’s looking a lot like Christmas. Well done Lindsey.

I have heard of using a solution of sugar and water or starch and water. Or perhaps a spray starch might work. Might be best to try on a sample rather than your lovely work.

With regards to putting pattern on here I would suggest due to copyright laws best just to put a link to pattern - shout out if you need any help with adding a link

Here is another plain bell and then one with stripes. I might try one next with 2 different coloured stripes. I've never changed colors before in crochet so I was quite pleased with how it turned out. I also wanted the bell slightly smaller so I took out a few repeating rows where I could and again I like the shape. I've left the tail from the magic ring as perhaps I can use that to hang a jingle bell on the inside??

By the way I"ve looked here for some aran weight or worsted weight yarn with a sparkle to it but haven't found any. I have some but it's lighter weight than the DK weight I use on the bells. I do order from Wool Warehouse and LoveCrochet in the UK. so if anyone knows of an aran weight glittery or sparkly that isn't too hard to crochet with, please suggest,

I love your bells the stripe one has turned out well, are you going to try stripes the other way from top to bottom and carry the wool at the back ? I have been on Ravelry what is your pattern called and who by. I have some green sparkly in my stash but not Aran weight more like double knit, plus other sparkly wool will go and look it up in my cabin and take a picture, I can send the yarn to you if you like it. I have collected my stash since I retired in 2007 and have a cabin full. So you could marry it up with plain double knit I have. I mainly crochet with a 4 mm crochet hook and double knit weight. Any way let me know. Linda x

I made this one but the yellow yarn was thicker, I think it was more aran weight rather than DK but nonetheless I still like it and I really am excited about stringing them up into a bunting with some wreaths in between. Greg loves them as well, he thinks we should have bells everywhere jingling 😊
Linda I will PM you in a minute.
The pattern is called Christmas Bells and it's by "Beauty Crochet Pattern Website" on Ravelry.
I'm never sure what they mean LInda when you carry the wool up...won't it look messy? I've never understood that I usually cut it and join..I should see if there is a YouTube video on it perhaps. xx
