I just bought some Brushos (my leaving presents included an Amazon voucher 😃) and couldn't wait to have a go. If you've not come across them yet they're pigment powders, you activate them with water and they're my new favourite thing!

So I got a 20p book from the charity shop and turned it into a journal cover. I'm making what they call a "flow-type" journal to send to a journalling pal, which is in effect a kit of parts for a journal as all the papers are removable and ready to use in whatever they like.

The cover has been gessoed, I've added a few torn book pages and then stencilled the front and back with gel. Then the fun bit - I sprinkled my Brushos which go on like pepper, you can't even see them, and gave them a good spritz and then the magic happened!
