Hello Everyone,
I hope you are all well, and starting on your Christmas crafts?

Just wanted to give you all a little update on life since Mum passed.

It's been a bit of rubbish year! Mums brother died at the beginning, I had issues at work, after 6 years of loyal service, I found myself in a situation where 'im indoors was made redundant, Uncle Bod died, Mum's health was going downhill rapidly. Instead of support and understanding, I received bullying and harrassment!

I decided to change my job, and got one closer, with an hour for lunch, I was also given garden leave from the previous employer. I got to spend extra precious time with my amazing talented kind Mum, a blessing in dafk times!

Then, of course, Mum left her earthly body, and the process of grieving began...

Whilst in my new job, I suffered an accident, slipping on a printing plate in the car park, injuring my knee, hip, elbow and shoulder. About a month after this, my newe boss took me aside and told me that they would not be giving me a permenant contract because "I had changed since my Mother died". CHARMING!

So, 'im indoors continues with self employment (building websites with Digonline, and trying to break into dog training. We had a small buffer, Mum's money, but that is periously close to depleated.

This time though, has been invaluble for healing! I discovered a love for upcycling! And we have started to build a "lifestyle" website, which will be called Splendicious.co.uk, on which we will have food, (including our new allotment), dogs (Starring Billi and Merlin) and Land Rovers (starring Janine, our 1991 Defender). We want to share positivity, and the notion that you don't need to be a millionaire to live your best happy life. I also, in the fullness of time want to write a low carb/keto cookbook!

We have finally managed to finish decorating our office, part of the delay being that we needed a new window, then we can the house sorted, it has been a muddle since Mum left us, she would HATE the muddle. As I said, and as you all know, Mum was one talented lady! Part of her legacy was passing on her wallpapering tricks, and I can literally hear her in my minds ear saying "you've done a good job!" My painting talents lie in a rather unexpected area! Furniture! My step dad gave us the Ladderax, 1970's originals sold by Staples furniture, I am rather pleased with the results, and will share the images when we build them. I also have a rather nifty Meredew sideboard with a secret compartment, which Mum used to sit at to paint years ago, complete wuth some red paint she deposited on the inside (I couldn't get rid of that!)

We hope to perhaps be able to earn for ourselves, but for now, I need to get another job, or we shall be eating the dogs for Christmas dinner!

I hope to see you popping onto the website when it's ready, and sharing your thoughts and positve vibes, you really were a wonderful aspect of Mum's life, and gave her some joy during dark days!

M x

So, considering what has gone on this year, I think, as a family, Team Hailstone have moved forwrd exceptionally well
