Hi linda didnt think about the frost i did have a coke bottle with the bottom cut off over my beans because of slugs but the leaves looked scorched in places by the sun so i have now cut top of bottle off now and just left the sleeve.perhaps i should get something to cover them.linda shall i keep the peas in greenhouse until next month?lisa x

I would put peas out in the sun shine but bring them back in at night this acimatises them and hardens them off for About a week so by the time June comes they will be ready. To stay out side . X If to heavy to move at least open the door flap all day and close up at night .our beet root will go out side in June our cucumber and tomatoes are grown in poly tunnel we never grow those out side. Your runner beans look healthier than ours but every year ours catch up and in June will look better than they do now I wouldn’t cover runner beans we use slugpellets as we grow over 45 of them there is not supposed to be frosts anymore so runner beans are hardy so will be ok now. Broken egg shells or gravel scattered around the beans will keep slugs away they don’t like crawling over rough ground. X.

Good work!
My windowsills are covered in sprouting stuff, and I still cover the outside pots with glass at night.
We had frost at night, and snow the other day.
Pity - its been smashing weather for most of the time!
