well, Sarah...I know exactly what you mean when you say youbuy oneball of yarn then see others that entice you to bu...I do exactly the same things...now have bags full of different balls of colour, but have been giving some of them to a (now 90 year old) whom I taught to do basic crochet....she hs taken up knitting again...never uses a pattern...but she made a lovely matinee jacket with hood for one of her great grand children...so pleased to have been able to help her.....still, that's what life is about...

Linda - Sorry to hear your family are all unwell. Hopefully you’ll get to enjoy a lovely weekend with them next week. That’s something to look forward too. 😊
Sarah - Hope you and your family are all feeling lots better. I have steered clear of craft shops.....so as not to buy wool. Although my daughter gave me 10 balls of lovely DK baby wool today. So I’ll be knitting lots more cardigans, hats and blankets for charity. 😄

We went to my mums for dinner today. Lovely to have some family time when we all get together. Chloe loved her Easter egg hunt. Home now, and enjoying a cuppa and some crochet.

Take care all. x

Hello sorry to hear about illness with Sarah and her daughter and also linda s family members

You must have been so disappointed linda after all the prep and anticipation, maybe the thought of them coming next weekend will keep you from being upset

Been a sunny day with me 6 degrees we took my friend for a run in the country and visited a garden centre , I bought a woodwick candle for myself £19.99 they are getting so expensive ,the larger ones cost more. My friends last day of her visit tomorrow.

Mary glad you sorted a lift to hospital, I am disappointed your daughter didn't offer to get shopping for you.

Ruth has been fine so far Sarah following the injection, she only has a week to work then goes on maternity leave, she is taking early maternity leave as she is having a lot of pelvic pain.

No crafting done whilst my visitor here , so nothing to report,
Hope you have had a nice break tracey

So pleased at least one of us had good weather yesterday. Liz you pressed the right weather button.....I have never seen so much rain as we have had past few days.....and today no exception....think will have to get busy with something or shall be climbing the walls........may phone one of the ladies who came to my group last year and see if she wants to meet up at the hall. I know she was interesting in watercolour so could take my box and drawing board over and give her a little demonstration....don't think anything is going on in there today...will see....she may have her daughter coming...not sure...anyway....feel quite with it this morning despite the heavy clouds.....so onward and upward...keep busy................back to normal tomorrow, whatever normal is........................................I know that means heavy traffic outside our windows and people getting back to work.........so.........on to summer...spring seems to have been elusive......as far as weather goes.............................................keeeeeeeeeep smiling.

Well it's a bit of a dull day and promises some thundery showers for us today but the temp is 15C so I'm not going to complain, risk of showers is supposed to over by midday so that's not so bad. I do have to go to the grocery store this morning so hopefully I don't get caught in a shower. 😃

I'm feeling much better so I think it was just a 24 hour virus so hopefully we have seen the last of it and no one else gets sick.

I've been playing around with watercolour pencils and paints and I'm definitely preferring the pencils, I will post some picks on the painting and drawing thread

Don't give up on Spring yet Mary we have only had two official weeks of spring, summer doesn't start until June 21st officialy so we have a good couple of months of spring left and since April is known for it's showers we don't usually expect the good weather to start until May. I'm sure you will get some good weather soon and you will be able to get out in the garden and enjoy the flowers.

Enjoy your last day with your friend Liz, for some reason when you said you took her for a run, I had this daft image of you and your husband in the car with her running behind LOL... I don't know why that popped into my head but it did make me laugh 😁 I think it is wise of your daughter to stop work earlier, when we are young we don't really appreciate the toll having a baby has on our bodies. I hope all goes well for her. I bet she is getting excited now.

Have a good day everyone x

Afternoon Ladies. 😀
Sarah - Am happy to hear you’re feeling well now. Luckily it didn’t last long.

Liz - It’s been lovely having a break from work. Have thoroughly enjoyed it. Caught up with all the bits I wanted to do, and best of all I have done loads of my charity knitting and crochet. 😄 We haven’t visited a garden centre in a while. That sounds like a plan for this Friday. 😊 Hope you’ve enjoyed a lovely catch up with your friend.

Mary - Happy to hear you sorted out a lift for your hospital appointment.

Am enjoying a relaxed and leisurely day after a busy family day yesterday. It’s raining here in London.....So it’s an afternoon of knitting/crochet form me. Might even see if there’s anything on TV. I fancy watching a film. 😀
Take Care all. x

Where is everyone I hope you are just busy and not unwell.
We are back to normal friend gone home and the house seems quiet, Ruth popped in after work this afternoon so broke the afternoon up a bit, everything seems flat when you have had visitors to stay.
Away to cook evening meal now and weather news is it's still raining👎.
Speak later

I reslly did feel rough most of the day........now have a bladder infection, so today has been as though back in an office....first phone call to make sure the District Nurse coming tomorrow for blood for cross matching, ready for my 2 units of transfusion Thursday....then to Gastroenterologist who wanted to be told if the iron levels dropped again....mmmmm very low...then a phone call to the GP and she prescribed over the phone so Maurice collected prescription for infection and then a phone call to the Housing Association re a leak in the bathroom....well..Maurice said "Leave it" for goodness sake waiting won't heal the leak...but they are not coming out until 23rd April....good job we have a wet room and only a small puddle collects....then we had a few of those silent phone calls....so today.................? not one of my favourites, so tomorrow....determined to be better......fingers crossed...oh..one more thing....a dog was barking for what seemed for ever, so I went out to see what was going on and the poor thing had been tied to the fence outside...no one around and it had tangled itself around tightly and poor thing was barking and whining...now I never consider myself an "Animal person" but felt so sorry for it...so I talked gently to it and found a piece of cooked chicken,,,he was hungry....finally he calmed down and let me stroke him...I untangled his lead and stood talking to him..his owner finally came along....said he didn't want to take him into where he was visiting and thought he would be ok....well...he wasn't.........I told him he had been barking for over an hour, very uncomfortable and thankfully I was nearby.......he apologised.
