I always put the day if others have forgotten when they start off, but I, like you,get confused at to what time it is that the one before has posted. So would also like the time and date to be more defined.

Both daughters want cob nuts in honey so I will have to preserve more of them and even make cob nut fudge. I will pretty up the jars and put them in their Christmas stocking , Liz wants my sweet cucumber pickle as she is having a ponchance for pickles and curry, she had her 20 week scan and every thing is fine .

I got my addi king size knitting machine out the round one with the handle and made some knitted hoops which are being turned in to animals and put on a wool cone that will be a palm tree.so you have a toy for a child to put the hoop animals back on the tree. Will post a picture in a minute.

You may get inspiration from it. Linda X Sorry Denise we posted at the same time. What is PMR. The things we have when we get older, as soon as I got to 60 I have been going down hill😴 through my own fault not exercising after I retired 8 years ago .

The hoops were made with the king size addi machine, and I will crochet the animal parts , the other picture is the original idea. I have the pattern .

What do you think, my hoop colours will probably be parrots I have the pattern for that too. X

Linda PMR is Poly Myalgia Rheumatica. It is an auto immune illness where the body attacks the muscles mainly shoulders back and across the hip area.

When it flares up it limits movement but the steroids keep it under control and hopefully in time it will resolve itself.

I have this animal pattern too will look brilliant when it's done

Saturday 1 October, wow where did that come from, I'm still thinking summer.

thanks for asking after my friend Liz, I've known her all my life, our famlies were friends back 80 years ago when my parents first moved to the village. Everyone thinks we are a family but no, her daughter was bridesmaid for me, her granddaughter bridesmaid for my daughter etc.

She was put on a ward early hours of yesterday, so about 10 hours in a corridor..was then transferred to another ward at 11.00 yesterday morning, tests are being done but as yet no news really, I went to see her daughter yesterday who I'm also close to, we laughed.as when ambulance arrived and when they got to hospital medics were asking all usual, can you dress yourself, she answered every question positive, her daughter said "I was beginning to question why we were there", "mum tell them how you actually are not how you think you should be ", her heart beat was not regulated, one minute running too fast which made her breathless and the next so slow she couldn't keep her eyes open, she has had heart operations in the past , they did say they don't think they can do anything surgically but may be able to adjust her medication to help, she may have to move into a nursing home. All maybe's as yet,

Home improvements, slow but sure, tomorrow family all here so today I am baking, not sure why, I usually just buy buti have the urge to bake.

I'll try and pop back later when I may get chance to read and digest all posts.

have a crafty day

Saturday 12.30 Afternoon all, we have had showers and now some blue sky's , I have been doing my jungle parrot for the hoop child's toy. Earlier I did get half my craft cupboard out in to the bedroom and was finding all my stash of wool in bags and all over the place. So I want to put that lot together in plastic boxes. Tidy up and put it back in the cupboard this afternoon.

Eliza I get the urge to bake as well I have the ingredients to make another courgette and pineapple cake, how did your apricot scones turn out? I am glad your friend is comfortable now, I waited two and a half hours in accident and emergency before I was seen too.

Well now it's dinner to make then the dreaded tidy up. X

Hello it's 15.25 here and although we had a sunny morning it's now dulling just had a clap of thunder eeeeeek. I took Leah for her ballet class this morning and then swimming for both of us, she now holds her nose and jumps in the pool without a backward glance. I do love her but it's nice now to have a bit of P&Q. I've now finished the first teddy (needs some tweeting) for the neo units Christmas cribs. I thought of supplying both pink and blue ribbons so they can customise for each baby as a keepsake, I will also add a tag that says made with love or made for you. Could you please give me some constructive critism of how I can improve the bear thanks

Linda your jars of nuts look yummy, pleased to hear all is well with Liz and baby, John and you must be both pleased and relieved with baby's progress.

Suzie I'm doing my masters in English history from Henry I to Elizabeth I, it's in honour of my fathers sister who studied history at Cambridge in the 1930's but couldnt get her degree until 1948 when they recognised women could receive an honour.

Denise pleased your consultant is happy with you, I believe from something I was told that they can relate it to arthritis but much worse. Don't you have to go to a diabetic clinic at your GP's? I also did a very small c2c blanket this week for Leah's pram and now doing a pillow to match
eggless banana muffins sound nice

Liz I'm glad your hubby is feeling better, he needs some tlc with looking after you.

Eliza enjoy your time with the family and at least your hubby has a go at DIY which gives him brownie points.

K&F I love your jar painting, it shows good depth of colour and background.

It's now thundering and lightening so I'm gong to hide under the table (oh I wish)
Take care xx

Evening all you chatty ladies

It's 5.10pm here and cooler but for October who expects more

Eliza so glad your friend is being attended to now, what a worry
Have a great day with family tomorrow

Suzy teddy is only needing a ribbon bow, what a cutie, maybe do few with Christmas ribbon

Linda you are brave emptying a cupboard, my craft cupboard is a dangerous place , not sure what might be lurking in there, lol. I do however need to venture in there next week as I have a box of card bought for the wedding invites , however it seems to have moved itself to the back of the cupboard somehow.

Knitting for me this evening , I was at the park earlier with dog only to discover I had just one knitting needle with me, so sat in car for an hour doing nothing whilst hubby walked dog😱

Hello 😃 It's 5.50pm here Saturday still.

Been a busy day for me as I was out first thing doing the crafting session at a local school for harvest festival. We were expecting 60 children but about half that turned up, probably put off by the rain today. They all had a good time though and I got covered in glue and glitter. Took the girls too and my sister was helping out as well. We popped to see my mum & dad afterwards then did a bit of shopping.

Just been and scrubbed the bathroom. Think I will have to start tea soon. I thought DH was doing it but he's not made a move and is glued to his pc doing his app. I'm starting to get a bit fed up of not being able to get any crafting done. At work I'm also starting to think I'm going to have to declare "crochet" breaks when everyone else is out on a cigarette break 😩

Anyhow I am loving all the crafty pictures and K&F your picture is so good I actually thought for a moment it was a real vase! Eliza that's shameful having to spend 10 hours in a corridor when your friend was so poorly. Goose was it you who made eggless muffins? I'd love the recipe!

Oh dear I'd better go. Alex is wanting something.

Have a good evening all x
